There is a particular singing method called “overtone singing“, where you can produce more than one note at a time by focusing the airwaves to resonate in different parts of your sinus cavity, throat area, and chest cavity simultaneously. Understanding the dynamics of it due to many years in Mr. Resseguie’s choir classes, I can occasionally hit all three notes (nose, throat, chest), though I consistently hit two (nose and throat). It’s a lot of fun and extremely calming to work at.

I started attempting this after a friend and his brothers told me about it one day around Thanksgiving time.

This became how I often meditate. Singing soothes me. It resonates within my entire being. This is where I find my Zen.

I’ve woken myself up humming this way a couple times.
