I have these words on my bedroom wall. You can do anything if you set your mind to it. Dare to dream, and dream big. Only your imagination limits you.

I’ve always known since I was a little girl that one day I would follow in their footsteps. I’m done waiting.

I’ve decided that on May 25, 2013 (turns out that’ll be “Buddha Day”), I will embark upon my journey. I haven’t decided how long I will be gone, but I’m beginning the planning now. I’ll be saving up my pennies, sloughing away unnecessary material possessions, and plotting a map.

While I’m gone, I plan to be photographing and logging my journey, and maybe something bigger will come out of it. I don’t know.

I have vague ideas of places that I want to go, but I welcome any input/suggestions/ideas of places to sleep, go, things to see, etc.

So I pose the question: If you could go ANYWHERE in the world, where would you go?

Yes, the ball really popped on me. Yes, it hurt to land. It wasn’t a boom, it was more of a loud “Fwoo!” It didn’t help that I had had coworkers kicking it before I took it home. Definitely weakens it.

Yes, I play World of Warcrack Warcraft. Yes, I am a girl. Yes, I was a dwarven hunter named Helgaralf. It amused the shit out of me. No, I am no longer on that server nor am I Alliance any more. So, if there’s another Helgaralf out there, I hope the name amuses you as much as it did me. Make sure you say it with a male Scottish accent.

Moving on.. I like fishing. This is a true story. I was fishing in a nice quiet spot when some random dude fell out of the sky. I nearly died laughing. Thanks for that laugh, whoever you are. I wish I had gotten this on video.

I imagine that Father Sky can sometimes be particularly moved by our thoughts and dreams. I wondered where he would put them, and then I remembered that I have a little girl’s crayon drawing on my fridge.

See, I saved her dog, a cute little beagle with a curious nose and a sweet attitude, and so she drew me a picture of me with her and her dog. It particularly moved me, so I put it on my fridge, where I can look at it often and remember. I don’t have kids, so it’s the only thing on display there.

I wonder if the Universe/Father Sky/Mother Earth has its own fridge where it posts dreams that we have that we either let die or give up on, displaying the dream in it’s full glory and wonder.

It would be here that dreams never die.
