Scat Cat used to follow me every where. He walked me to the bus stop every morning and waited for me every afternoon. We explored those woods together, he and I.

I love that cat.

I have these words on my bedroom wall. You can do anything if you set your mind to it. Dare to dream, and dream big. Only your imagination limits you.

Old comic redrawn. It came about out of a 3d art project where I decided that the wireform I was making really didn’t want to be made and became a sculpture of my cat. Surprised? Anybody? Didn’t think so.

I feel like a smudge in a Monet painting some times. Life is beautiful.

We got a new Fishie TV on Feb 20th. It’s now part of an aquaponics system, but the fish are a LOT of fun and have tons of personality.

It came with a ninja clown loach (Hattori Hanzou, or Hanz for short), a Kissing Gourami (Mick Jagger), a Leopard ctenopoma/African leaf fish (Edgar), a panda corydora (Edison), an albino corydora (Tesla), a bronze corydora (Marconi), a spotted corydora (Einstein), a panda barb (Confucius), and four silver dollars (Loony, Toony, Quarter, and Half Dollar). I was going to put my black neon tetras and otocincluses in there, but then Edgar yawned, and I decided that was a bad idea (Could swallow a shooting marble WHOLE). Hanz was a ninja and managed to survive stuck in a rock for the entire drive here, even though I had never seen him until a week later (and frankly, thought him dead).

I’ve since added a pleco that I’ve name Sir Oreck of Hoover (Orrie for short). I also added 3 neon rainbows in with the black neon tetras in the 20 gallon tank, and may throw them in the big tank once they grow up. Depending on how big they get, of course.

And yes, I frequently shove my nose against the glass and watch them. They’ve started to get used to it.

So, the semester is done. I’m sad and happy to be done.

Color 113 is in my transcript, now. I’ve finally finished the first year’s worth of art school that I started. (I’ve taken other courses, too, but .. It’s finally done.)

This is an ode to my classmates and professor, who I am sure are just as tired of painting as I am.

I didn’t realize that the pink comic would be my 200th. Therefore, the 201st was commemorated. Hooray!

I am not a fan of pink. I am not a fan of Valentine’s Day due to the fact that pink seems to vomit all over everything EVERY WHERE.

First and foremost, I am an artist. I will always be an artist. Art will always come before fame for me.

That being said, this is an illustration on.. Well, lots of things. There’s a lot of emphasis placed on “good” art. I find beauty in a lot of very simple things. Jackson Pollack, Matisse’s later works, and some of Picasso’s simple figures helped shape a good chunk of my younger art life. I can find art and purpose in almost anything. That doesn’t mean I don’t find some art tacky. Tacky art is still art, whether I agree with it or not.

Simply put, I was commenting on sometimes feeling like my art “isn’t good enough” for the art snobs. As I got older, I realised that my idea of art and theirs are plainly not the same.
